Joshua Soto, founder of Long Island Soccer, started this website to promote soccer around the Island. With more than a decade of experience in NCAA sports, across all divisions, Soto looks to establish a better website were all can enjoy this sport.


Soto, who most recently served as Director of Media Relations at LIU Post, was appointed as the Assistant Manager of Athletic Communications for St. Joseph’s College in August of 2015


Soto served as an intern for the Director of Athletic Communications at Dowling College for the past six years, where he served as the primary contact for the men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse programs, while also serving as secondary contact for the men’s basketball and softball programs. Soto also served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Dowling College baseball program for three years (2012-2015).

As an undergraduate at Dowling, Soto worked as an athletic communications work-study, acting as the primary contact for women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse his junior and senior year. Additionally he worked with numerous other programs, including baseball and men’s lacrosse.

Joshua is an avid baseball fan, and lists the New York Yankees as his favorite team. He currently serves as a coach for the Long Island Jr. Ducks, and spends his free time coaching baseball.

Soto is currently a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America, and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The Deer Park, NY native earned both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor's degree in Sport Management at Dowling College.
